Award’s Judge Gary Slagel Talks About HSE

CONSOL Energy’s Gary Slagel answers some industry questions and talks about the Oil & Gas Awards in November’s Pennsylvannia and Marcellus Business Central.

The Oil & Gas Awards are judged by the industry, with our judging panels made up by senior executives from upstream and midstream companies. One of our Northeast awards judges is Gary Slagel, senior advisor for environmental affairs at CONSOL Energy & chairman and executive committee member of Pennsylvania Independent Oil and Gas Association. We spoke to Gary to get his views on the key issues of HSE & CSR and the industry in general.

O&GA: Do you believe your organization’s environmental credentials are a significant factor for investors, customers and suppliers when deciding whether to engage with your company?
Gary Slagel: Yes. CONSOL Energy produced its first Corporate Sustainability Report in 2012 and it was very well received. Investors want to know what we are doing and how we are doing it relative to protecting the environment.

Oil & Gas Awards nomination deadline extended

The final date for entry submissions for the Oil & Gas Awards is now Nov. 30. This applies to all three regional awards; Rocky Mountain, Northeast and Gulf Coast.
This still leaves plenty of time for upstream and midstream companies and the wide range of service providers and suppliers that support the Oil & Gas industry to enter the awards.

March 2012 Northeast Awards Announcement

The Pennsylvania Business News announce the arrival of the Northeast Oil & Gas Awards at the Westin Convention Centre.

The inaugural Northeast Oil & Gas Awards will be held March 14 in Pittsburgh. Winners will be announced and presented with their awards at the Awards Ceremony Gala Dinner.
