Scott has been with Marathon Oil Corporation for 18 years. He joined the Aberdeen office in September 1998 as a process engineer after graduating from Strathclyde University with a BEng in Chemical and Process Engineering. In February 2008 after multiple roles looking after the Brae field in the North Sea, he took a position in Houston working Equatorial Guinea. September 2010 saw him join Finance & Accounting as a planning analyst, and he rejoined operations in February 2013 as Operations manager of East Texas and North Louisiana.

He started his current role as Facilities manager of the mid-continent asset (MCAT) in April 2014. Scott is responsible for approximately 500 wells and around 20 employees. Scott’s current focus is ensuring new facilities are designed and installed optimally, planning for the infrastructure Marathon will require for its upcoming development mode, creating a maintenance system based around SAP PM, all whilst optimizing production and keeping costs low on legacy wells.

Scott is married with two children and enjoys playing football (the kind you play with your feet), watching any kind of sport, and listening to music.
