Shane Henry

Shane Henry is the Manager of Government and Regulatory Affairs for Enerplus Resources USA, based in Denver.  He has a degree in political science and a graduate degree in public administration.  Prior to his career in the oil and gas industry Shane worked in several political positions – which included a job as the policy analyst for CLUB 20 (a western Colorado lobbying organization) and serving on the staff of Congressman Scott McInnis and US Senator Wayne Allard.  Shane also served in Governor Bill Owens’ administration as the Assistant Director for Land and Energy at the Colorado Department of Natural Resources.  Shane began his career in the oil and gas industry in 2005 when he went to work for Williams Companies, serving in various government affairs roles through to the spin-off of WPX Energy where he was a government affairs manager for NM, CO, WY and ND.

Shane joined Enerplus in 2012.  He currently is responsible for managing a diverse group of professionals, which includes government/tribal affairs, environmental compliance, regulatory/permitting, communications and stakeholder relations for the company’s US operations.
