Benjamin Hulburt
Benjamin Hulburt is the co-founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Eclipse Resources, an independent oil and gas exploration and production company focused on the development of unconventional reserves in the Appalachian Region. Prior to co-founding Eclipse Resources in 2011, Mr.Hulburt served as the President & Chief Executive Officer of Rex Energy Corporation, a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ, with operations in the Appalachian, mid-continent and rockies regions of the United States. Mr. Hulburt co-founded Rex Energy in 2001, and after considerable growth lead the company through its initial public offering in 2007. Prior to November 2001, Mr. Hulburt served on active duty as a commissioned officer in the United States Army, leaving the service holding the rank of Captain. He served as a Director of Rex Energy Corporation from March 2007 to October 2010. Mr.Hulburt received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Pennsylvania State University. Mr.Hulburt was recently awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2010 in the Western Pennsylvania region. In 2013, Mr. Hulburt was named to the Top 40 Executives Under 40 by Fortune Magazine.
