Senate Priorities
Senator Fuller’s top legislative priority this year is reducing regulations that burden California’s businesses that prevent them from hiring, or rehiring, workers. Jean believes that putting more people to work and solving each Californian’s personal budget crisis is the key to California’s economic rebound.
As Vice Chair of the Energy, Utilities and Communications Committee, Senator Fuller will focus on policy relating to our energy resources and emerging technologies. She will also continue her focus on our natural resources and the area of water policy.
Accomplishments
During her tenure in the Assembly, Jean served as the leader of the Republican Water Policy Team that focused on finding solutions to California’s water crisis to ensure sufficient water supplies for families, farmers, and businesses in the Central Valley. She also served as Chair of the Rural Caucus, a bipartisan group of 43 Assembly Members and Senators who provided a strong, united voice for residents of rural communities.
Jean’s top legislative priorities in the Assembly were expanding career technical education programs for high school students, increasing local jobs, reducing unnecessary regulation of California’s small business and manufacturers, and reducing the tax burden on hard-working families.
