Joe Greco – President – BEG Group, LLC
While erosion is a natural process, human activities have increased by 10-40 times the rate at which erosion is occurring globally. Excessive (or accelerated) erosion causes both ‘on-site’ and ‘off-site’ problems. On-site impacts include decreases in agricultural productivity and (on natural landscapes) ecological collapse, both because of loss of the nutrient-rich upper soil layers. In some cases, the eventual end result is desertification. Off-site effects include sedimentation of waterways and eutrophication of water bodies, as well as sediment-related damage to roads and houses. Water and wind erosion are the two primary causes of land degradation; combined, they are responsible for about 84% of the global extent of degraded land, making excessive erosion one of the most significant environmental problems world-wide.The BEG Group works on answers to the situation above!
Kevin Patek – Vice President – ICF

He has directed numerous energy market analyses to support strategic planning needs at energy companies. The analyses have investigated the impact of gas production, gas storage, liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports, and pipeline expansions on gas prices, the effect of weather and oil prices on gas markets, and the impact of carbon control strategies on gas markets. They have been widely used to support facilities/fuels/contracts management and planning, mergers and acquisitions, investment decisions, risk management, and hedge strategies.

Tom Foster is the publisher of the Northeast ONG, an oil and gas publication focused on the new technologies, policies, events and developments in the Appalachian basin. He is also the founder of Foster Analytics, which advises small and mid-size companies on data optimization and predictive modeling. The Northeast ONG is the only publication mailed directly mailed to over 8,000 oil and gas professionals operating in the northeast United States. Tom launched the publication in the summer of 2011 when he realized the operators entering the region found it difficult to find the equipment and service providers who are established there. It is the primary resource to find those companies as well as learning about policy changes, events, workshops, and new technology pertinent to the Marcellus and Utica shale plays.
