Scott Roy is the Vice President of Government Affairs and Community Development at Range Resources Corporation, where he leads and manages national corporate initiatives and directs a diverse creative and technical group.

Mr. Roy works alongside elected officials, state and federal regulatory agencies, and other organizations throughout the United States to build relationships among industry leaders, legislators, and conservation and environmental groups.

While working to improve the oil and gas industry’s outreach and rapport with various stakeholders, Mr. Roy provides leadership to a number of industry organizations, including the Marcellus Shale Coalition, where he serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

An active member in his community, Scott serves in board capacities, including the Allegheny Conference on Community Development’s Pennsylvania Economy League of Greater Pittsburgh. He also participates with a number of area organizations, including the Pittsburgh Promise, United Way, ACHIEVA,  Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Ducks Unlimited and the Ruffed Grouse Society.

Prior to joining Range Resources in 2009, Scott served nearly 20 years in numerous executive capacities for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania throughout the administrations of both Governor Tom Ridge and Governor Edward G. Rendell.

A western Pennsylvania native, Scott earned his bachelor’s degree from Allegheny College and his juris doctorate from the Dickinson School of Law at Penn State University. Scott is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting and fishing activities year round. Scott and his family reside north of Pittsburgh in Wexford, Pennsylvania.
