Danny Brown

Daniel E. (Danny) Brown – Vice President, Operations (Southern and Appalachia) – Anadarko Petroleum Corporation

Mr. Brown was named Vice President of Southern and Appalachia operations in August 2013. He previously served as General Manager of Anadarko’s Maverick Basin, overseeing the company’s Eagleford Shale development. Mr. Brown has more than 15 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry, beginning his career in 1998 with Kerr-McGee Corporation. He has since held a variety of positions within Anadarko’s deepwater Gulf of Mexico and U.S. onshore operations, including as General Manager of the Freestone/Chalk area (U.S. onshore), Business Advisor for Planning and Reserves Administration in the Gulf of Mexico, and in engineering positions in both the U.S. onshore and the Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a MBA from Rice University, where he was a Jones Scholar Award recipient. Mr. Brown is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas and is also a member of the World Affairs Council.

john Christiansen – Director, External Communications – Anadarko Petroleum Corporation

John M. Christiansen serves as Director, External Communications for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: APC). Mr. Christiansen began his career in 1995 as a radio news anchor and reporter with Wyoming Public Radio in Laramie, Wyo. In 1998, he joined the news team at KTOK AM 1000 in Oklahoma City where he earned numerous awards from the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters for general-news, features, and medical- news reporting. In 2001, Christiansen was named News Director of Clear Channel’s Oklahoma News Network. In 2004, he joined Kerr-McGee Corporation as an external communications specialist and was later promoted to Manager of Public Affairs. Following Anadarko’s acquisition of Kerr-McGee in 2006, Christiansen served as Sr. Public Affairs Representative at Anadarko before being promoted to manager in 2008, and director in 2011.

David Dickert

David Dickert – Regional Director Oil & Gas – Aggreko North America

David Dickert is the Regional Director of Oil & Gas Sales for Aggreko North America and has over 25 years of experience with Aggreko. David spent his first 10 years in technical and operational management roles in North and South America supporting commercial and industrial projects within the oil & gas, petrochemical & refining, manufacturing, utilities, mining, disaster & emergency, construction and events sectors. For the next 16 years, David took his technical expertise in larger power management projects to focus on sales and business development. Notable projects during his tenure include the Atlanta Olympics, multiple Super Bowl’s, Hurricane’s Hugo and Katrina and Copper Mining in Chile. Over the past 5 years, David has focused solely on developing and managing the sales strategy for Aggreko’s Upstream and Midstream Oil & Gas business. He has also been a key member of Aggreko’s introduction of Natural Gas generators to its fleet. David currently resides in Dallas, Texas with his wife and two sons.

R.T. Dukes

R.T. Dukes – Managing Editor – Bakkenshale.com and EagleFordShale.com

Mr. Dukes is a former consultant with Wood Mackenzie’s upstream energy group. He has advised major oil companies on corporate growth strategies, the macro business environment, and overall opportunity screening. Prior to his role as a consultant, he led a research team with a primary focus in the Rocky Mountains and spent time as an analyst for covering the Gulf Coast Region. He contributed to Wood Mackenzie’s North American oil and gas supply view, and provided expertise in the areas of unconventional gas, shale plays, and tight oil.

Lance Dunn

Lance Dunn – Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing – C&J Energy Services

Lance has served as our Senior Vice President–Sales & Marketing since October 2012. From July 2010 through October 2012, he served as Casedhole’s Vice President–Sales & Marketing. Lance has over 30 years of oilfield experience, focused mainly in wireline sales and marketing. For the last 15 years, Lance has held sales management positions in the U.S., the Middle East, Far East and in Europe. His last assignment was with Schlumberger as the Wireline Sales Manager for U.S. Onshore, managing a sales force of approximately 100 employees across all land basins, with multiple city and field sales managers reporting to him. Lance brings deep experience in sales force development and coordination, market analysis, and strategic planning to Casedhole. He graduated from Cornell University in 1979 with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.

David Hennessy – Environmental Director – PVR Partners, LP.

David Hennessy currently serves as Environmental Director for PVR Midstream’s Mid-Continent Division operations, which include gathering, compression, processing, and new construction. Prior to joining PVR in 2013, Mr. Hennessy was Environmental Programs Manager for Access Midstream and its predecessor, Chesapeake Midstream, with operations throughout the central and eastern United States.

Stefan Hirniak

Stefan Hirniak – HSE & QA/QC Specialist Consultant – Progressive Global Energy

Stefan is an ex-professional swimmer who holds multiple national records for Canada. Upon retirement in 2012 he joined PGE, where he has become a Principal Consultant within the HSE market, with a specialisation in placing field based HSE advisors/consultants for drilling & production operations.

Jamie LaFleur

Jamie LaFleur – General Manager Upstream Services – Total Safety

Mr. LaFleur joined Total Safety in 2006 and currently serves as General Manager of Upstream Services East. He is responsible for both Gulf of Mexico and land operations in the eastern United States. He has over 20 year in the oil and gas market, filling various positions from HSE, sales and operations. His career has been primarily in the Gulf of Mexico, but recently expanded into the shale plays. Prior to joining the Company, he served as Vice President of Operations for MB Industries, a leading manufacturer of blast resistant modules, from 2002 until 2006.

Greg Lorson

Greg Lorson – Chief Executive Officer – TEEMCO

Mr. Lorson is a fourth generation oilman and former CEO of a national company. He has 30 years experience in oil & gas, real estate, and investment banking.
Mr. Lorson has been a member of corporate & charitable boards, state and federal commissions and has been appointed by the governors from six states to advise on the environment, taxes, energy, and economic development. He is a published business author, FEMA certified Emergency Response Manager, and a licensed water system & waste treatment-facility operator. Mr. Lorson served as a United Nation’s Conference Delegate on International Oil Development.

Bob McDaniel

Bob McDaniel – Vice President of Technology – Preferred Technology

Mr. McDaniel, Vice President of Technology, oversees the development, testing, analysis, and transition of Preferred Technology’s new product and proppant process.
For 35 years, Mr. McDaniel has worked on the technology side of major well service companies, engineering and inventing new hydraulic fracturing products and treatments (11 U.S. patents and 6 new patents pending).

Rep. Pete Olson – (R-TX) 22nd District – United States House of Representatives

Pete Olson was born on December 9, 1962 at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Fort Lewis, Washington. The Olson family settled in Seabrook, TX in 1972. Olson attended public school and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1981. He graduated from Rice University in 1985 and received his law degree from the University of Texas, School of Law in Austin. In July 1988, on the day he completed the Texas Bar Examination, Pete took the Oath of Office for service in the United States Navy.
Pete began his naval career in Pensacola, FL, where he attended Aviation Officer Candidate School and began a decorated, nine-year career as a Naval Aviator. Pete’s flight training brought him back to Texas in May 1989. He earned his Wings of Gold in March 1991 and began his training to fly the P-3C Orion, which is designed to track and destroy ballistic missile submarines. During his deployments, Pete flew missions over the Persian Gulf to enforce the international sanctions levied upon Iraq after Operation Desert Storm. He also flew across much of the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, the South China Sea, and the Sea of Okhotsk between Japan and Russia. In 1994, Pete’s combat aircrew was named Pacific Fleet’s best in anti-submarine warfare. Pete was transferred to serve on the Joint Chiefs of Staff in 1994 and a year later was assigned to be a Naval Liaison Officer to the U.S. Senate.
In 1998, Olson became an aide to Texas Senator Phil Gramm and would later serve as Chief of Staff for Senator John Cornyn.
Olson took the oath of office for the 111th Congress on January 6, 2009, for his first term as Congressman for the 22nd District of Texas. Olson served on the following committees; House Transportation & Infrastructure, Science & Technology (Ranking Member, Space & Aeronautics Subcommittee) and Homeland Security.
In his second term in Congress, Olson was appointed by Republican Leadership to serve on the House Energy & Commerce Committee, the oldest standing legislative committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. The Energy & Commerce Committee has wide jurisdiction over the energy, healthcare, and telecommunications industries, including oversight of five Cabinet-level departments and seven independent agencies. Given the important local drivers the energy and health care industries play, this committee assignment is important for the Houston region.
Pete and his wife Nancy live in Sugar Land, TX with their children, Kate and Grant and their dog Riley. They are active members of the United Methodist Church.

Patrick Plugge

Patrick Plugge – General Manager  – E&B Natural Resources

Patrick “Pat” Plugge joined E&B Natural Resources in May 2012 and was given the assignment to manage the company’s newest business venture E&B Green Solutions, a global supplier of non-toxic, renewable and safe cleaning solutions to the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining E&B Natural Resources, Pat had a long career in the water and wastewater treatment industry applying both chemical and equipment solutions working for companies such as NALCO, Betz, GE, and US Filter/Siemens serving customers in the oil & gas, power generation, CPI, and mining industries. Pat is a 1971 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree.

David J. Porter

David J. Porter – Commissioner  – Texas Railroad Commission

David J. Porter was elected to serve a six-year term as Texas Railroad Commissioner in November 2010. Since taking office, Commissioner Porter has been appointed to the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission as the Official Representative of Texas by Texas Governor Rick Perry. He has also been appointed as Governor Perry’s official representative on the Interstate Mining Compact Commission and currently serves as an advisory board member for the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law.

Terry Sims

Terry Sims – HSE Manager – Buccaneer Energy Limited

Terry brings over 30 years of experience working in the Oil & Gas industry. He began his career working for Western Oceanic, working his way up from roustabout to a tool pusher while working on jack-ups and semi submersible rigs. In 1987, Terry transitioned into the Safety and Training Department. In 1998, Terry joined Chiles Offshore and served as the HSE Manager. While working with Chiles Offshore, he developed a Safety Management System and two Safety Cases, which were in conjunction with Shell and ConocoPhillips (Australia) along with an Environmental Management System. Terry also developed a Computer Based Training Program, which won the 2002 “Safety in Seas” Award from the National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA).

Justin Stone

Justin Stone – Drilling Operations Manager – Anadarko Petroleum Corporation

Justin Stone currently holds the role of Drilling Operations Manager for Anadarko’s holdings in the Eagleford shale. Previously Justin was Drilling Operations Manager for the Utica and Marcellus shales, and Drilling Manager of Anadarko’s shallow water, heavy oil field in Bohai Bay, China. After graduating from Texas A&M University, Justin worked as a Drilling Engineer in the deep Austin Chalk, the Wattenberg field of Colorado, and in the Gulf of Mexico’s deepwater.

Bud Tippens

Bud Tippens – Director, Land – E&B Natural Resources

E&B Natural Resources Management Corporation is a California based independent oil and gas company. Established in 1971 through the acquisition of various interests in Poso Creek and Antelope Hills, E&B Natural Resources Management primarily focused its interests and efforts towards maintaining and producing these core assets and several smaller nearby fields. In 1998, original management sold the company to Houston based Equinox, and through a series of subsequent transactions, Francesco Galesi, of the New York based Galesi Group, acquired E&B.

Josh Weber

Josh Weber – Senior Vice President, Business & Commercial Development – Howard Energy Partners

With more than 15 years of experience in managerial and business development roles across a diverse portfolio of assets, Josh has a unique ability to identify strategic, value-adding opportunities and optimize their potential. He has proven expertise in leading multidisciplinary teams, providing strategic direction to maximize engineering, operational and commercial impact. Prior to joining Howard Energy Partners in January 2012, Mr. Weber held various positions, both midstream and upstream, with Southwestern Energy Company from 2005 to 2011. His roles included Vice President of Planning and Commercial Operations for Southwestern’s midstream company SWN Midstream where, among other projects, he negotiated interstate pipeline agreements resulting in the construction of two new pipelines with a total capacity of 3.3 billion cubic feet (Bcf) per day.

Jeff Weis

Jeff Weis – Principle – Vice President – Orion Drilling Company

Jeff Weis has served as Vice President of Orion Drilling since its formation in 2003. Previously Mr. Weis was the Vice President of Contracts at Pioneer Drilling Company where he worked for 8 years. Prior to Pioneer, he served as General Manager for Zarsky Drilling Fluids from 1987 to 1995. In addition, he served as a technical advisor for Halliburton’s IMCO Services division from 1978 to 1986.
